An easy quick dinner: Mushroom Spaghetti With Sun-dried tomatoes

28 May

Yesterday at night we were a bit tired and hungry. So we were searching for a quick simple and easy meal to make. Our favourite choice would be, spaghetti with mushroom and sprinkle a handful of chopped parsley. So on our way back home we stopped at the supermarket to get some mushrooms and headed home because we were starving.

We’ve been using whole wheat spaghetti for quite some time now because we were opting for adding more fibres and nutrients to our meals.

A thought came up, why not add some sun-dried tomatoes that i soaked in olive oil and bought from Istanbul. It added an extra chewy, sourish, sweet flavor, and we liked it alot. Next time we’ll add some more to the dish, the flavor will be stronger. So i chopped some and added them to the garlic frying in the pan. Then after a couple of minutes i added the mushroom. In the meantime, the pasta was cooking al dente. When all cooked, i tossed them together and sprinkle over a handful of chopped parsley. Et voilà, dinner was served.

Here are the ingredients:

-a good drizzle of olive oil

-2 cloves of garlic

-6 pieces of sun-dried tomatoes

-250g white mushrooms

-200g whole wheat spaghetti

-handful of chopped parsley

If this quickie dinner could manage to keep a bunch of barbarian guys shut and mouth full then I don’t know what to say other than yummy.

I think you should open a house rest which occurs once or twice a week an indoor warm welcoming meal with great atmosphere and artistic way of service which is self service the best to control your own qty and own shape of dish delight.

    Waiting for more to come.

Catch you later my two best chefs 🙂

I guess creativity exists in the most awkward and tensed moments, this time it wasn’t a meteor, a volcano, a bomb nor love just an emotional state of HUNGER. Well it does have a bit of love, the love for food :).

Hunger pushed a pulse in our mind and as we saw the glazing, wet dried tomato and said why not.

We cooked the meal and mimi added her touch. Another phrase crossed my mind now “what you see is what you get.”

In the pictures I see a yummy and fresh meal, that’s what I got a delicious and tasty meal.

Next time we’ll spice it a bit more with tomato.

I enjoyed the meal a lot, so mimi when will we cook it again.
