Walnut Cake

i borrowed this book from the greek class and i picked this walnut cake recipe. It was delicious. my classmates also liked it.

the recipe

-300g flour                                   for the syrup:                        
-75ml milk                        
-120g sugar                                 -150ml water
-60g sunflower oil                    -300g sugar
-3-4 eggs                                       -2g vanilla essence   
-5g bicarbonate                         -5g grated orange
-90g chopped walnuts             -5g grated lemon
 (plus a handful for topping)
-5g cinnamon
-5g ground cloves

 First, boil all the ingredients for the syrup for 5min. cool.
Meanwhile, beat eggs with sugar in a bowl and stir in milk and oil.
Gradually blend all remaining ingredients. Evenly spread on a buttered
baking tin and bake at 160C for 35 min. Remove. Gradually spoon
on the cold syrup on warm cake and sprinkle chopped walnuts & cut.
Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
